Hi, I'm Terry Foley and I've been a member of the Engineering faculty here at East Los Angeles College since 1975. I am also a graduate of ELAC. I have community college teaching credentials in Engineering and in Math and I am a Registered Professional  Manufacturing Engineer in the State of California.
Prior to attending ELAC, I spent four years in the U.S. Navy where I served in Korea and Vietnam. In Vietnam, I was a radio operator aboard the first ship to take part in the evacuation of North Vietnam. It was the largest mass evacuation by sea in the history of the Navy.
I am the proud father of three lovely daughters and one awesome grandson.

 Education

        East Los Angeles College - AA Degree
        UCLA - BS in Engineering
        USC  - MS in Aerospace Engineering

    Experience - Industry

My experience in industry has been as a Structural Design Engineer working on the design of airplanes, missiles, satellites, and space craft for the following companies:
        North American Aviation in Downey -the Apollo capsule
        Boeing Aircraft in New Orleans and Huntsville - first stage of Saturn V



   

        McDonnell Douglas in Huntington Beach  - the Spartan missile
        Hughes Aircraft in El Segundo - a Japanese weather satellite
        Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach - the MD-11(tail) & Navy T45 
        Rockwell International in Downey - the Space Shuttle (tail)

    Experience - Education

 I have taught at the following Colleges and  Universities:
        Cal State, Long Beach - ME Dept 
        Cal State, Fullerton - ME Dept
        Cal Poly, Pomona - Engineering Technology
        Riverside City College
